GGO-650L: speaker enters standby mode when using microphone

Some early production units of the GGO-650L may enter standby mode after approximately eight minutes when only the wireless microphone is being used. This occurs because the media player detects no audio playback and triggers its power‑saving function.

A firmware update is available to correct this behavior. Once installed, the speaker will remain active during microphone‑only use and will no longer shut down after several minutes of silence from the media player. All current and future production units will ship with this updated firmware already installed.

Firmware Update Instructions

1. Download the firmware package here.
2. Unzip the file and copy the contents directly to the root of a USB flash drive.
   • Do not place the files inside any folder.
   • A USB drive formatted to FAT32 is recommended.
3. Power on the GGO-650L speaker.
4. Insert the USB drive into the speaker’s USB port.
5. The update will start automatically.
6. When the update is complete, the speaker will turn off by itself.
7. Remove the USB drive.
8. Power the speaker back on. The update is now fully installed.

Notes
• Do not interrupt power during the update.
• Do not remove the USB drive until the speaker powers off automatically.
• After updating, the speaker will remain active during microphone‑only use and will not enter standby mode.
