How to update firmware on the CDMP-7000 and CDJ-700
Updating the firmware on your Gemini Sound CDMP-7000 or CDJ-700 keeps the unit running its latest software. The process runs from a USB flash drive, and it only takes a few minutes.
What you need
- A USB flash drive
- The correct update file for your unit, attached to this article
Update the firmware
- Download the update file attached to this article.
- Once the file is downloaded, copy it to the root folder of your USB flash drive (not inside any subfolder).
- Insert the USB flash drive into your unit and press USB.
- The unit locates the file automatically and starts the update.
- Follow the on-screen prompts carefully until the update finishes.
Note for CDMP-7000 users
The CDMP-7000 has two decks, and each deck needs to be updated individually. Repeat the steps above for the second deck.
