My powered speakers will not produce sound
If your powered speakers are not making any sound, the problem is almost always a loose cable, a muted source, or a level turned all the way down. Work through these checks in order and you will usually find it fast.
- Check every cable connection. Make sure each cable is seated fully at both ends, on the speaker and on the source.
- Confirm your source is putting out a signal. Verify that your line-level mixer or device is actually sending an output signal.
- Check the levels on your source. Look at all level knobs and faders on the output device, such as a mixer or CD player, and make sure they are turned up.
- Make sure the speaker has power. Confirm the speaker is plugged in, switched on, and its power indicator is lit.
- Check the levels on the speaker. Look at all the level knobs on the rear of the speaker and turn them up if needed.
If you have gone through all of these and the speaker is still silent, reach out to Gemini Sound support and we will help you track it down.
