G2V and G4V: Traktor setup guide

The Gemini Sound G2V (2-deck) and G4V (4-deck) DJ controllers both pair cleanly with Native Instruments Traktor on Windows. The setup is the same either way, and it takes about 10 minutes once your downloads are ready.

Prerequisites

Download these from the relevant product page, G2V or G4V:

• Gemini ASIO drivers (Windows)
• Traktor TSI mapping files

You'll also need an installed copy of Native Instruments Traktor.

1. Connect the hardware

1. Connect the included power adapter and USB cable to your G2V or G4V.
2. Plug the USB cable into an available USB port on your computer.
3. Power on the unit.
4. Windows begins installing the Gemini drivers. Wait for installation to finish. Do not unplug or power off the unit.

2. Run the Traktor Setup Wizard

1. Launch Traktor and open Preferences.
2. Click Setup Wizard at the bottom-left of the Preferences window.
3. When asked "Are you using an external controller?", select No.
4. When asked "Are you using an external mixer?", select No.
5. For the layout, choose 2 Track Decks for the G2V or 4 Track Decks for the G4V.
6. Finish the wizard.

3. Audio setup

1. In Preferences, go to Audio Setup.
2. Set Audio Device to Gemini ASIO.

4. Output routing

Configure Output Routing in Preferences. The specific channel assignments are documented in the original Gemini support PDF on the product page.

5. Controller mapping

1. In Preferences, go to Controller Manager.
2. Click Add, then Import Other, and load the Traktor TSI file you downloaded.
3. Set In-Port and Out-Port to your G2V or G4V.
4. Set Device Target to Focus.
