What is the difference between UHF and VHF wireless systems?

The main difference between UHF and VHF wireless systems is the broadcast frequency range they use. UHF has about eight times more available radio spectrum than high-band VHF, which gives you greater range and the room to run several wireless systems at once.

When VHF is enough

If your setup is simple, VHF handles it fine. For basic vocal work with one wireless unit, high-band VHF gives you what you need without the extra cost.

When to choose UHF

If you need to run multiple wireless units, or you're working in a crowded radio environment where interference is likely, go with UHF. The wider spectrum gives you more clean channels to work with and better range.

Quick guide

  • Simple, single-unit vocal setup: VHF is more than enough.
  • Multiple units or crowded RF conditions: choose UHF.

What is the difference between TWS and Multi-Link?

TWS pairs two speakers as a stereo left and right setup, while Multi-Link plays the same signal from several speakers off one source for more volume and coverage.
