V-CASE: What does the Lock do?

Pressing the lock button locks the attributes for the highlighted song so they cannot be edited. Songs will stay locked until you press the lock button again.

V-CASE: What’s the Quantize button for?

he best use of the Quantize button is for setting time related events (like Hotcues). With quantize enabled your actions (such as launching HOTCUES, SAMPLES, ETC) will snap to the beatgrid.

MM1, MM1BT: Can I use cue (PFL) on the MM1/MM1BT?

The MM1 and MM1BT have a very basic cue system where channel A appears on the left side of the headphones, and channel B appears on the right.

MM1, MM1BT: Can I hook it with a turntable?

The MM1 series only supports line-level inputs, so as long as your turntable outputs a line-level signal, it can be used with the MM1 or MM1BT.

MM1, MM1BT: Is the crossfader replaceable?

No, the crossfader is not user replaceable.

Can I connect other audio devices to my unit?

If you unit is equipped with LINE, PHONO, or AUX inputs it is possible via the proper audio cables.

LINE/AUX = MEDIA/CD players, MP3 players, computers, and portable media devices.

PHONO = Vinyl Turntables

Using external hard drives

Large external hard drives are not recommend for use with our products.

We recommend using USB flash storage devices up to 32MB.

G2V, G4V: Virtual DJ LE Audio Output Setup (PC)

Quick one: this is how to point Virtual DJ LE's audio output at your Gemini Sound G2V or G4V on Windows. Five-minute job once the drivers are installed.

Prerequisites

1. Open Virtual DJ LE configuration

  1. In Virtual DJ LE, click CONFIG in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  2. Switch to the Sound Setup tab.

2. Verify audio device

  1. Confirm Sound Card is set to Gemini ASIO.
  2. Confirm the controller's deck channels are correctly mapped, Deck 1 to channels 1 & 2, Deck 2 to channels 3 & 4 for the G2V (the G4V adds Deck 3 → 5 & 6 and Deck 4 → 7 & 8).
  3. Save and close.

MDJ Series: Can you connect MDJ series media players to Serato?

Yes, the MDJ-1000 can be used as a MIDI controller. It can be used with Serato, but all controls must be manually mapped.

TT-1200: Can the TT-1200 play 78 RPMs?

The TT-1200 is a belt drive turntable and therefore lacks the torque needed to play 78 rpm records. If you need to play 78 rpm records, please consider one of our hi-torque direct drive turntables.

TT-1100USB: How can I connect the TT-1100USB to a device that doesn’t have a phono input?

In the output section on the back of the TT-100USB, there is a phono/line switch. Set the switch to the line, and the turntable will output a line-level signal.

SDJ-4000: How do I sort my USB tracks in the browser?

When in BROWSER mode, you can push the SETTINGS button to sort your tracks. Select your desired parameter from the SORT ORDER menu (BPM, KEY, GENRE, ETC)
