Outdoor speakers that hold up to weather and parties
You want music in the backyard that sounds good and survives a season outside. That means a speaker built for the elements, not a portable you carry out and remember to bring back in before it rains. Below are three Gemini Sound outdoor speakers we keep in stock, what each one is actually rated for, and how to pick between them.
Solar rock speakers that blend into the yard
Rock speakers sit in a flower bed or along a path and disappear into the landscaping. The pair below charges off the sun, so you're not running power out to the garden or swapping batteries mid-cookout.
GHRK-500LTMS-PR solar rock speakers
You get a matched pair that pairs to your phone over Bluetooth and runs off built-in solar, with LED lighting for after dark. They're shaped and finished to look like real stones, so they sit in a garden bed without standing out. The IPX5 rating means they shrug off rain and sprinklers.
- Sold as a pair (40W peak total)
- 5" drivers
- Solar-charged with Bluetooth streaming
- LED lighting for nighttime
- IPX5 weatherproof
Wall-mount speakers for a patio or deck
If you'd rather aim sound at a seating area than scatter it through the garden, mounted speakers are the move. You bracket them under an eave or on a wall, point them where people sit, and they stay put. Both pairs below are IP44 rated, so they handle rain and spray in a covered or semi-covered spot.
GHSI-650BT-PR wall-mount pair
This is the one to get for a deck or larger patio. The 6.5" woofers move enough air to fill an open space and stay clean over conversation. They connect over Bluetooth and come with mounting brackets so you can angle them toward the seating.
- Sold as a pair (90W peak total)
- 6.5" woofers
- Bluetooth streaming
- Mounting brackets included
- IP44 rated
GHSI-525BT-PR wall-mount pair
Same idea in a smaller package. The 5.25" woofers suit a balcony, a covered porch, or a tighter patio where the 6.5" pair would be more than you need. Same Bluetooth, same brackets, same IP44 weather rating.
- Sold as a pair (72W peak total)
- 5.25" woofers
- Bluetooth streaming
- Mounting brackets included
- IP44 rated
Which one to pick
Start with where the sound needs to go. For a garden or a path where you want the speakers out of sight, go with the GHRK-500LTMS-PR rock pair. For a deck or open patio that needs real volume, the GHSI-650BT-PR is the one. For a balcony, porch, or smaller space, the GHSI-525BT-PR covers it without overkill.
One note on weather ratings: IP44 and IPX5 mean these handle rain and spray, not full submersion. Mount them where they get some cover from a roofline or eave and they'll last. You can see the rest of the lineup on our outdoor speakers page.
We've been building audio gear since 1974, and outdoor speakers are one of the things we get asked about most once the weather turns. If you're not sure which pair fits your space, reach out before you buy and we'll point you to the right one.
