Gemini GBTX-500 – Microphone & Call Quality Troubleshooting

The Gemini GBTX-500 headphones include a built-in microphone for hands-free calling. If you're experiencing issues with mic performance or call clarity, the steps below can help you troubleshoot.

Problem: Callers Can’t Hear You Clearly
Make sure the microphone is not obstructed by clothing, hair, or accessories.
Speak directly toward the mic area located on the earcup.
Ensure the headphones are properly paired and connected via Bluetooth.
Try disconnecting and reconnecting the Bluetooth connection to refresh the audio channel.

Problem: Poor Audio Quality During Calls
Move closer to your device to reduce signal interference.
Avoid using the headphones in areas with heavy wireless traffic or metal surfaces.
Restart the headphones and reconnect to your device.
If the issue persists, test the mic using a voice recording app to isolate the problem.

Problem: Microphone Not Working at All
Confirm the headphones are powered on and connected via Bluetooth.
Check your device’s input settings to ensure the GBTX-500 is selected as the active microphone.
Try using the headphones with a different device to rule out software conflicts.
Note: The microphone may not function in AUX mode depending on the cable and device used.

Problem: Unexpected Behavior During Calls
Tap the Forward (>>) button to answer or end a call.
Hold the Back (<<) button to reject a call.
Hold the Play/Pause button during a call to switch audio between headphones and phone.
Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged before making calls.

Additional Tips
Bluetooth call quality may vary depending on your device and environment.
The GBTX-500 uses passive noise isolation, which helps reduce ambient sound but does not actively cancel noise.
For best results, use the headphones in moderately quiet environments.
