My speakers do not power on

If your Gemini Sound speakers won't turn on, work through these checks in order. Most no-power problems come down to a loose connection, a dead outlet, or a blown fuse, and you can sort all three yourself.

Check the connections

  • Make sure every connection is secure. Reseat the power cable at both ends.
  • Check the connection at the speaker and at the power outlet. A cable that looks plugged in can still be loose.
  • Test the outlet with another device to confirm it has power.

Try a different power cable

Our speakers use a standard power cable, the same kind found on many electronic devices. If you have a spare that fits, swap it in to rule out a bad cable.

Check the internal fuse

If the connections and cable are good and the speaker still won't power on, check the internal fuse. A blown fuse usually shows visible discoloration. If you see that, replace it with the correct fuse for your model.

My speaker powers on but I cannot hear anything

No sound from a speaker that powers on is almost always a level setting or a loose connection. Work through the audio chain from source to speaker to find it.
