PMX-10: DVS controls for VirtualDJ
The PMX-10 works as a DVS (digital vinyl system) controller in VirtualDJ, so you can control tracks in the software with timecode vinyl or CDs. Here is how to set it up.
Before you start
VirtualDJ only recognizes its own timecode media. Use one of these:
To get full functionality from your PMX mixer, download VirtualDJ LE and enter the license key that came with your purchase: https://www.virtualdj.com/le/
Set up the PMX-10 in VirtualDJ
- Connect your timecode players to channels 1 and 2.
- Connect the PMX-10 to your computer with a USB cable.
- Power on the PMX-10.
- Launch VirtualDJ.
- When prompted, select "PMX-10" and click "OK".
- Open VirtualDJ preferences.
- Confirm these settings are selected:
- Outputs = Separate Decks
- Hardware = Gemini PMX-10
- Inputs = Timecode Signal
- Click Apply.
- Load a timecode disc, MP3, or vinyl on your players.
- Once tracks are loaded into Deck 1 or Deck 2 in VirtualDJ, you can control playback from the timecode players.
