How to change a fuse
If your Gemini Sound speaker won't power on, a blown fuse is a common and easy fix. Before you start, make sure the speaker is completely disconnected from power.
- Switch off the power.
- Detach the IEC power cable.
- Find the fuse socket, located under the IEC power port.
- Use a blunt flat-head screwdriver to gently pry out the fuse case.
Check whether the fuse is blown
Take out the fuse and look at it closely. The fuse is blown if you see either of these signs:
- A visible gap in the fuse wire or filament.
- A dark or metallic stain inside the glass.
Replace the fuse
Most Gemini products ship with a spare fuse, so check your packaging first.
- Remove the blown fuse and drop the new one into place.
- Slide the fuse case back into the speaker.
- Reconnect the IEC cable and switch the power back on.
If the speaker turns on, you're done and it's ready to use again. If it stays unresponsive, reach out to our customer service team and we'll help you sort it out.
