GMU Series: how to change the transmitting frequency to fix interference
If your GMU wireless system is picking up radio interference, you can change its transmitting frequency to find a more stable connection. Here is how to do it, plus a few tips for keeping the signal clean.
Change the transmitting frequency
- Power on the transmitter and receiver, and make sure they are paired.
- Press the Set button on the transmitter to switch to the next available frequency.
- Watch the receiver's RF LED indicator. It turns off and then back on to confirm the new frequency has connected.
- Repeat until you land on a frequency that is free of interference.
Tips to avoid interference
To avoid radio interference with wireless microphones, choose a frequency that no other devices in the area are using. This keeps your microphone signal from being disrupted or drowned out by nearby electronics.
It also helps to keep the microphones and receivers away from other electronics, such as computers, televisions, and similar devices that can interfere with the wireless signal. That gives you a clear, consistent signal and fewer dropouts during use.
