GMX and GMX DRIVE: MIDI troubleshooting
Here's how to activate a MIDI connection between your computer and the Gemini Sound GMX or GMX DRIVE.
- Connect the GMX to your computer using the rear USB output and a USB input on the computer.
- Press and hold the MIDI button on the GMX until it illuminates.
- Let your computer and the GMX communicate so all device drivers upload completely.
Do not power off or unplug the device while this is happening.
Software compatibility
- The GMX is plug-and-play with Virtual DJ LE.
- The GMX is plug-and-play with Virtual DJ Pro, as long as you have purchased an official license from Virtual DJ.
- The GMX is compatible with Traktor via custom mappings.
Windows audio settings
On Windows, choose GMX Audio (WASAPI) as your output device. The channels map like this:
- Master = Channels 1 and 2
- Headphones = Channels 3 and 4
