How to Replace the Lanyard Connector on Your SOSP-600 Speaker

If the Lanyard Connector that connects the backdoor on your Gemini SOSP-600 waterproof Bluetooth speaker gets damaged or worn out, you can replace it yourself with just a few basic tools. This guide walks you through the process, step-by-step.

⚠️ Tools you’ll need:

  • A clean flat surface
  • Sharp tweezers or a similar tool
  • A small electric screwdriver
  • Your replacement lanyard fixture
  • Save your original screw and silicone plug — you’ll reuse them!

Step 1: Prepare Your Workspace

  • Lay the SOSP-600 flat on a clean surface with the back side facing up.
  • Make sure the surface is soft or covered so you don’t scratch the speaker.

Step 2: Remove the Old Lanyard Fixture

  1. Remove the silicone plug using tweezers.
Be gentle, and keep the silicone plug — you’ll need it again at the end.

  2. Use a small electric screwdriver to remove the screw holding the old lanyard connector in place.

Keep the screw safe — you’ll reuse it for the new part.
  3. Carefully lift and remove the old fixture.

Step 3: Install the New Lanyard Fixture

  1. Place the new lanyard fixture where the old one was.

  2. Insert the original screw into the holes and tighten them with your electric screwdriver.

    • Recommended torque: 1.0 ±0.2 KGF·CM
(If you're not sure how much force that is, just tighten snugly — not too loose, not over-tightened.)
  3. Push the silicone plug back into place to seal everything up.

You’re Done!

Your SOSP-600’s lanyard fixture is now as good as new. You’re ready to clip it onto a backpack, carry it to the beach, or hang it poolside.
