How to Connect and Play Audio on Your SOSP-600 Speaker
The SOSP-600 offers multiple ways to connect and enjoy your music, whether you're using Bluetooth, USB playback, or linking multiple speakers together. This guide walks you through each method and provides quick solutions for common connection issues.
Bluetooth Pairing
To pair your device via Bluetooth:
- Power on the speaker.
- Press and hold the BT button for 3 seconds until the blue LED flashes rapidly.
- On your phone or device, go to Bluetooth settings and select SoundSplash SOSP600.
- Once connected, the LED will stop flashing.
To disconnect and reconnect:
- Press and hold the BT button again for 3 seconds to re-enter pairing mode.
To reset Bluetooth settings:
- Press and hold the BT button for 8 seconds to perform a factory reset.
USB Playback
To play music from a USB drive:
- Insert a USB drive into the port inside the waterproof compartment.
- Make sure the drive is formatted to FAT32 or FAT16.
- Supported file types: MP3, WAV (bitrate 8–448 kbps).
- The speaker will automatically switch to USB mode and begin playback.
Troubleshooting tips:
- If playback doesn’t start, remove and reinsert the USB.
- Try a different USB drive or reformat if files aren’t recognized.
Multi-Link Mode (Mono Playback on Multiple Speakers)
To connect multiple SOSP-600 speakers:
- Power on all speakers and place them near each other.
- Connect your device to the speaker you want to use as the Master Unit.
- Short press the Multi-Link button on the Master Unit. The orange LED will turn solid.
- The other speakers (Link Units) will automatically search and connect. Their orange LEDs will also turn solid.
Note: All speakers will play the same audio in mono.
TWS Mode (Stereo Pairing)
To pair two SOSP-600 speakers as a stereo pair:
- Power on both speakers and place them close together.
- Connect your device to Speaker A.
- Press and hold the Multi-Link button on Speaker A for 3 seconds. The white LED will flash.
- Wait for Speaker B to connect. Once paired, both white LEDs will remain solid.
Speaker A = Left channel, Speaker B = Right channel
Standby Mode
- The speaker will enter standby after 30 minutes of inactivity.
- To wake it, press and hold the Power button for 2–3 seconds.
