Is my Gemini Bluetooth Speaker compatible with Google Home, Amazon Alexa/Echo, etc?

Gemini Bluetooth speakers—including models like the GHSI series—are not natively compatible with smart home platforms such as Google Home, Amazon Alexa/Echo, or Apple HomeKit. That means they do not have built-in Wi-Fi, voice assistant functionality, or smart home integration.

However, you can still use your Gemini Bluetooth speaker with these smart devices in a limited way, depending on the available connection options. Here's how:

Using Bluetooth

Most Google Home and Amazon Echo devices support Bluetooth audio output. This means you can pair your Gemini speaker with your smart device over Bluetooth, allowing any audio (music, podcasts, assistant responses, etc.) to play through the Gemini speaker.

How to do it:

  1. Put your Gemini speaker into Bluetooth pairing mode.
  2. Say, "Hey Google, pair Bluetooth," or "Alexa, pair Bluetooth."
  3. Select your Gemini speaker from the list of available devices.
  4. Once connected, audio from the smart device will route through your speaker.

Limitations: You can stream audio, but you won't be able to control the speaker itself (like changing volume or turning it off) using voice commands.

Using AUX Input (Wired)

If your smart device has a 3.5mm headphone output (some older models do), you can physically connect it to your Gemini speaker using an AUX cable.

How to do it:

  1. Plug one end of a 3.5mm AUX cable into the smart device.
  2. Plug the other end into the AUX input on your Gemini speaker.
  3. Select AUX mode on the speaker if needed.

Note: This is a simple audio connection—no smart control features are passed through.

What You Can't Do

  • You cannot control the Gemini speaker using voice commands (e.g., 'Alexa, turn up the volume on my Gemini speaker').
  • The speaker does not appear as a smart home device in Google Home or Alexa apps.
  • There is no support for multi-room audio groups via Wi-Fi or casting.
