Gemini GSP-5500 Series – Mixer & Input Troubleshooting

The GSP-5500 Series speakers feature a built-in 3-channel mixer with multiple input options, including XLR, 1/4", RCA, and 1/8" AUX. If you're experiencing issues with audio inputs or mixer controls, this guide provides targeted solutions.

Microphone Not Working

  • Confirm the microphone is securely connected to either the XLR or 1/4" input.
  • Set the input selector to Mic mode if applicable.
  • Adjust the gain knob for the corresponding channel.
  • Check the Master Volume knob and ensure it’s turned up.
  • If using a dynamic mic, ensure phantom power is not required (GSP-5500 does not supply phantom power).

AUX or RCA Input Not Working

  • Make sure the source device (phone, tablet, mixer, etc.) is powered on and playing audio.
  • Confirm the cable is fully inserted into the correct input (1/8" AUX or RCA).
  • Adjust the gain knob for the channel assigned to that input.
  • Try switching to another input to rule out cable or device issues.

USB Playback Not Working

  • Insert a USB drive formatted to FAT32 with MP3 or WMA files.
  • Press the SOURCE button until USB mode is selected.
  • Use the Play/Pause, Back, and Forward buttons to control playback.
  • If the USB is not recognized, try a different drive or reformat.

Mixer Controls Not Responding

  • Check that the speaker is powered on and the display is active.
  • Ensure the Master Volume knob is turned up.
  • Verify that individual channel gain knobs are adjusted appropriately.
  • If the Clip LED is lit, reduce gain to avoid distortion.
  • For EQ adjustments, press the Treble/Bass button and use the Master Volume knob to adjust.

TWS Link Not Working

  • Power on both GSP-5500 Series speakers.
  • Press the TWS LINK button on both units.
  • The display will flash “Link” until the connection is established.
  • Ensure both speakers are in Bluetooth mode and not paired to other devices.

Echo Effect Not Working

  • Echo is only applied to microphone channels.
  • Ensure the mic is connected and active.
  • Adjust the Echo Effect knob to apply the desired level.
