GSBR-20 – volume knob LED flashes during playback
Some early-production units of the GSBR-20 Soundbar may contain outdated firmware that causes the main volume knob LED to flash continuously during normal playback.
Intended Behavior
- The volume knob LED should remain solid at all times
- The ONLY time the LED should blink is when the soundbar is in Bluetooth Search Mode
Updating the firmware will correct the LED flashing issue.
Follow the steps below to install the firmware update using the USB file provided at the bottom of this article.
Solution: Update the GSBR-20 Firmware
-
Download and unzip the update package: Gemini_GSBR-20_Update.zip
Inside the unzipped folder, locate the “Gemini GSBR-20” folder -
Locate the update.ufw file and copy it to a blank USB drive then eject safely.
-
Turn on your GSBR-20 soundbar.
-
Insert the USB drive into the soundbar’s USB port on rear of unit.
-
The soundbar will begin the firmware update automatically.
-
Wait a few moments. The soundbar will turn itself off once the update is complete.
-
Remove the USB drive.
-
Turn the GSBR-20 back on.
Your soundbar is now updated, and the volume knob LED will behave normally.
