GNV-60 – Speaker Will Not Power Off

Some early-production units of the GNV-60 may not include the most recent firmware. In these cases, users may experience an issue where the speaker cannot be turned off using the power button. Updating the firmware resolves the problem immediately.

Below are the steps to install the firmware update using the USB file you will include with the article.

Solution: Update the GNV-60 Firmware

DOWNLOAD UPDATE PACKAGE HERE

Follow the steps below to update your speaker:

  1. Download and unzip the update package you received from Gemini.
Unzipped folder will be called “Gemini GNV-60”.

  2. Copy the firmware file "update.ufw" from that folder onto a blank, FAT32 formatted USB drive

  3. Turn on your GNV-60 speaker.

  4. Insert the USB drive into the USB port on the speaker.

  5. The speaker will automatically begin the update process.
    No action is needed.

  6. Wait a few moments. The speaker will power off on its own when the update is complete.

  7. Remove the USB drive.

  8. Power the GNV-60 back on. Your speaker is now updated and ready for normal use.
