How to daisy chain GHSI series active and passive outdoor speaker sets

If you're expanding your audio setup with multiple Gemini Sound GHSI-W525BT outdoor speaker sets, this guide walks you through daisy chaining up to four speakers so they all play at the same time.

What you need

  • Two pairs of GHSI series speakers: you'll need two sets to get four speakers total.
  • 1/8-inch AUX cable: make sure it's long enough to reach between speakers in your setup.
  • Power outlets: one for each active speaker.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Unbox your speakers. Start by unboxing all four GHSI series speakers.
  2. Connect the first pair. Connect the active speaker to the passive speaker in the first set using the included speaker wire.
  3. Set up for daisy chaining. Use the auxiliary output on the first pair's active speaker to connect to the auxiliary input of the second pair's active speaker with the 1/8-inch cable.
  4. Repeat for additional pairs. If you have more than one additional pair, repeat the step above, connecting each pair sequentially using the auxiliary output and input.
  5. Power the speakers. Plug in each active speaker to a power source. All active speakers need power for the setup to work correctly.
  6. Test the setup. Play audio through the system to confirm all speakers are working and playing at the same time.

Tips for best performance

  • Cable management: keep cables organized to avoid tangling and potential damage.
  • Speaker placement: place speakers strategically to cover the area you want evenly.
  • Power considerations: make sure you have enough outlets, or use a power strip with surge protection for safety.

Troubleshooting

  • No sound from all speakers: check all power connections and make sure each active speaker is plugged in.
  • Uneven sound: verify all connections and make sure the 1/8-inch cables are securely connected.
