How to set up the GSM-100 USB microphone

The Gemini Sound GSM-100 is a USB microphone, so setup is plug and play. There are no drivers to install. Follow these steps to get up and running.

Connect the GSM-100

  1. Plug the GSM-100 into your computer or laptop using the included USB cable.
  2. Wait a moment for your system to recognize the mic. No driver installation is required.

Select it as your input device

Open your computer's audio settings or the preferences in your recording or streaming software, then choose the GSM-100 as the input device. Until you select it, your software may still be listening to a different mic.

Position the mic

Use the tripod stand and shock mount to set the angle and distance you want. The shock mount also helps keep bumps and desk vibration out of your recording.

Fine-tune your sound

  • Use the volume control knob to set your input level.
  • Use the mute button to cut the mic when you need silence.
